Even when they used to argue in the past, he did not like hurting her feelings but his anger towards AJ overpowered every other emotion. Maybe when he sees her in this heartbroken state he will sympathize with her or maybe will eventually be the one to tell AJ that Guddan never conspired against him and was always defending AJ. That would be a great way to close this arc, since it was Durga overhearing the conversation between Guddan and Rawat that caused the volcano to erupt in the Jindal family.
