The posters look completely SLB hangover from Saawariya, Ram Leela and Devdas.

KJo is now trying to be SLB. After Kalank he will make Takht which will be another SLB hangover. 😲

Totally agree! SLB is a master at period dramas. After seeing his success Kjo is trying very hard to replicate it.. Kalank, Kesari, Takht.. and of course to position Alia in a role she wouldn't otherwise get with SLB. It's giving me major SLB vibes, even the BM music and how Varun's role is described as "flamboyant" etc.. like Ram in Ram Leela.

Kalank is made by Abhisek Verman and it has more Jodha Akbar type essence where he is the assistant director. He is a good director looking 2 states.

If there's anything Kjo is obsessed with, it's Bahubali...Not freaking SLB. Some of the biggest Indian films like Mughal E Azam, Gadar have been period films and the aforementioned Bahubali. Let's not give SLB too much credit.
