Why she has to sleep on the floor , what kind of custom is this . DIL is considered as the Lakshmi of the house rt ?? and how is she made to sleep on the floor on the first day itself and that too all alone in the front room??

Is that a custom or is this for drama sake??

Is this a custom?? God lord!! allowing your DIL to sleep on the floor in the front room where as the boy or the man of the house sleeps in the closed room...how archaic??

Well I find it absolutely ridiculous...and never understand it. Probably because I am from the southern part , women are treated a lot differently even at in laws place.

There is no such custom.. she is the Lakshmi of the house and should be treated welll
