I often keep hearing that Kunal chose to fulfill Mishti's wish instead of Pari's. That he prioritized Mishti over Pari. That he helped Mauli to fall for Ishaan.
But I want to ask one thing. Was it even possible for Kunal to fulfill Pari's wish? She wanted Mauli as her mumma. Mauli would have never agreed. Mishti would have never agreed. So how was it even possible in the first place? That wasn't his place to fulfil that wish.
Mishti wanted her Popsi as her dad. Ishaan was always a part of her life. He has always been her dad. Ishaan and Mauli were about to get married, everything was going well.
The only hindrance was Ishaan's mom who put unreasonable demands on Mauli and as a result Mauli put her foot down, and rightly so. Ishaan had no idea about Sandhya's condition. He thought that Mauli backed out because of her own feelings for him.
That was the only reason he even agreed to seek Kunal's help (lol) in wooing Mauli. And what followed was gifts and other childish strategies to manao her. They didn't work anyway. Lastly Kunal kicked her out, so that Mauli would end up at Ishaan's place. She stayed over at a hotel. Again, this time Ishaan was not a part of the plan.
Lastly, Kunal called Sandhya and told her that Mauli left the Malhotra House, which was the truth.
With that being said, isn't it obvious that all of his efforts resulted in zero results? Sandhya is back to not accepting Mauli & Mishti. Ishaan knows the truth, and he picked Mauli and Mishti over his own mother. Because he KNOWS that his mother was being unreasonable and selfish.
Those gifts didn't change Mauli's demeanor towards Ishaan.
Yes, only after Kunal accident did we finally see Mauli slowly getting closer to Ishaan emotionally. After Ishaan stepped up to take care of Pari, while Mauli helps Kunal to bring his memory back. Won't mention Mishti here because for Ishaan, Mishti is his daughter and for Mishti he is her popsi, so it's natural for her to feel comfortable with him and for him to take care of her.
So in all this, how did Kunal's actions actually result in anything positive? Yes, his intention was good but they didn't actually result in anything did they?
As of now Ishaan is taking care of HIS daughter Pari like a father. Mishti is taking care of Pari. And Mauli is taking care of him.
Basically MiShaaLi as a family are now helping Kunal and his daughter. And their sacrifice is worth much more than Kunal's stupid tactics. Mauli is giving up on her time with her daughter. Mishti is giving up on her time with her mother. Mauli is living through the triggers of betrayal. Ishaan has to endure Kunal's romantic gestures with Mauli. They even postponed their wedding for him.
I hope after Kunal gets his memory back he thanks Mauli, Ishaan and Mishti. These 3 gave up their happiness for the father-daughter pair. And if he has any decency left, goes away from their lives completely after apologizing to Mauli for his betrayal.
