The episode begins as Ashok's lawyer begins to question Babita's character, something Babita had feared all this while and.. Yes her deepest fear had come true today. Though the judge is not convinced. Very calmly he asks thelawyer if he wanted to continue the case or provide Babita with alimony. But as he is commanded, the lawyer tells the judge to continue the case.
Meanwhile, Mini tries to get in the court room to support her dependent mother, but the guard refuses to let her in without the pass. While Mini begs the guard, her neighbour Khatri turns up and is thereafter let it. A furiour Mini demands to know why and how he is let in, yet no answer arrives back.
A second or two later, Hanuman Singh and her uncle return with pass but are not let in due to the orders of the judge, and end up waiting impatiently for Babita.
Back in the court,Babita is scared to even utter a word from her mouth. Khatri arrives in the court and has 70 written on his palm, signalling Ashok's lawyer the amount of money which he wants in order to give a false testimony.
As the lawyer puts his argument forward, the judge comments on the two sided behaviour of Ashok. How on one hand he wants the court hearing to be finished as soon as possible and on the other wants to bring a whole new issue just to not pay his wife the alimony much deserved.
Finally the court grants a new date for the hearing, and lets Babita go. Ashok on the other hand is flustered because his moves fail to bear him a fruit. The judge upon noticing the strange behaviour of Ashok, at once knows what he has been planning to do. Character assassinating his wife to not give her alumony. He warns Ashok, that in his court he will not let any dirty words for a dignified, homely and gentle woman like Babita.
Babita gets out from the court, still registering what had happened. Mini inquires, but Babita turns a deaf ear to Mini's questions. As Babita's lawyer returns, Mini quickly snatches the petition signed by her Mom the other day. It doesn't take her a while to realise, how they had all been trapped in a quicksand by her own father. The petition said that Babita agreed to having an affair with Hanuman Singh for the past ten years.A cheap trick indeed.
Mini asks her Papa ji, the reason why he had done that. And another person leaves the child unanswered. Meanwhile Hanuman Singh comes to form, and demands to know the reason behind this crude behaviour of Ashok. Ashok, ends by saying that both him and Hanuman Singh had been fighting because of one woman i.e. Babita.
Ashok clearly forgets that he had taken his girlfriend, sorry, his mistress too to the court too. A woman he had been having an affair for a longer time than anyone had ever known. He was only possessive and egoistic earlier but now he was also a hypocrite.
Though Ashok's thirst for stooping down to another level is not yet satisfied. He vents out his frustration on a poor Babita. He puts finger on her values, morals, ethics and decency. He assassinates her character in every possible way. He questions on what she had given to the judge to take her side in the court, was it the same thing that she had offered both Ashok and Hanuman Singh. Mini, phupha, Hanuman Singh all try to shut Ashok up butbut can shut a stubborn ass up.
Extreme dirt and filth comes out of his mouth as he utters the last sentence claiming that he had seen Babita even with clothes and even without- Mini breaks his last sentence. She screams on top of her lungs, her throat. She cries, she sits on the floor unable to stand up. Babita who had earlier shivered, trembled, wrinkled her forehead, crumbled her toes, goes numb after listening to once her husband's last words.
As they reach their home, the whole neighbourhood is out seeing both the mother daughter duo weak and helpless. Mini shuts the door of the house, indicating to Hanuman Uncle that they needed some 'us' time, some time alone to get over of what all they had gone through.
Back at Ashok's home, beeji who seems to be well aware of what sins her son has commited, furiously slaps her son. Everyone knows he deserves much more than just a slap. As he reaches his room, he sees Meeta sitting on the floor with knees to her chest. Yes she is a woman at the end of the day. She refuses to talk to the Ashok she hadn't seen ever before.
Babita, meanwhile back at her place is too shocked to understand anything. She slowly moves towards the tap, and starts throwing mugs of water on her head. She washes her body, which had once been touched by those dirty hands of her husband, Ashok. she cleans it, she rubs her hands over her arms again and again.
What she had gone through for the past few hours, had already been started a decade ago. She had been betrayed by the very people she had once served. Doesn't it bother her that all the hard work she had put in for years had returned to her in the form of character assassination?
