Lobbying is done everywhere in the world for important categories ..

Not sure how NA works in India😕 - I have heard that they lobby and need political influence with the current party.

Someone should explain how these things work that knows better than me😕.

From what I understood NA is considered to be given for a role chosen by a board...and for other political affiliations.. or simply because the party in power likes your work.

Example: OBE, MBE and all those 'awards' Queen Elizabeth (or Charles) gives every year to actors are a recognition of her Royal House towards those actors.. that doesn't mean they are always the Best actors or so.. just that they have 'found favour' with the ruler. Those medals are given by her as a Royal favor. I am assuming NA's are somewhat that way...
