That is just an act of humble. In an interview during the time around 2010, he once said Khans shud be wiped off from the industry. They r there for too long.

What happened to SRK? None talks about him anymore. None is interested to work with him. Even they can't convince Deepu and gets replaced by likes of Vicky.

Yeah Simba is the only successful cop movies to be ever made 😆
1 out of 3 south films are cop movies. Dabaang not only changed Salman's career but also was a game changer in masala genre in bw. Singham is hugely popular and opened 30+ cr. 😆

Then why now?

AFAIK some of the highest grossing COP movies are Rohit Shetty's : Singham series and now the highest, SIMMBA.

He's also announced one with AKKI.

And BTW there's rumourds SALMAN ALSO will be doing a cop movie with Rohit.

I don't believe it's a coincidence.

It's about the fact that RS's movies are success.

This was a joke. Something they said during the SRK-RK skit in Umang show.

Also Salman already have a successful cop franchise with Dabangg. The movie rumoured with Rohit is a sequel to his already successful film Kick. And Dabang 2 is the highest grossing cop film before Simmba not Singham.

Even Akki already have successful cop movie Rowdy Ratore and Suryavanshi was in the works way before Simmba released or how else would Akki make a cameo in it. Rohit has been planning a cop universe way before Simmba released so we can't only say everyone is bandwagoning just because Simmba is a success.

It was a sketch at a cop event FGS. Simba isn't only his successful movie, he is popular. In fact Ranveer fans are writing fiction of Akki, Ranveer, Ajay, Salman coming together in a RCU crossover. Salman & Akki survived without Shetty, don't think it has to be becoz of Simba. Simba isn't something special or unique. Salman & Akki have the mojo of a Shetty hero, he would certainly want to work with them.
