Here's the ACTUAL reason why Katrina went missing from Bharat teaser

The first promo of Salman Khan-starrer Bharat has been unveiled yesterday, ahead of Republic Day. The film that revolves around the journey of a man, along with a nation also stars Katrina Kaif as the main female lead. But the one and half minute promo has no trace of Kat at all.

The fact that the Zero actress went missing from the teaser didn't go unnoticed. Many netizens jumped the gun and claimed that it's an out and out Salman film with little to do for the heroine. But let us tell you that's not the case. Katrina has a full fledged role in Bharat, unlike the ones she had in Zero and Thugs Of Hindostan. The makers wanted to keep her looks under wraps hence kept her away from the prying limelight.

We have already seen Katrina's curled hair look for the film. But what we don't know is that, much like Sallu miyaan, Katrina, too will age through the film. The film starts off when she is in her 20s and spans till she is 60.

A source reveals, "The film spans 5 generations so Ali Abbas Zafar has modelled different looks from each era on Katrina. They have based her looks on several yesteryear heroines. So there will be glimpses of actresses like Waheeda Rahman, Sharmila Tagore, Zeenat Aman and others over the years. Like Waheeda was the ruling queen in the '60s, then there was Sharmila whose looks were a rage in the '70s. So the clothes, the hair and make up are kept in tune to those times."

5 diffferent looks for Katrina.. so they are keeping it a secret for now.

Also read in the article:

So no.. her role is not smal. Also, in TZH, Ali gave her quite a bigger role than in the previous Tiger movie.

Ali has succeeded 2 out of 2 movies with Salman. I do not think he wants that streak to end by adding flowerpot roles amidst the whole Me Too issues- he'd get blasted for reducing women roles and all that..

since its Salman and Ali, I dont think Katrina will have a 2 mins role... it must be a proper fleshed out one...

the teaser had no one apart from Sallu.
so don't know why this things coming out.
Bharat's PR must be doing this fearing the unnecessarily stupid criticism of not giving female lead screen time, hence came up with this article.

Could be. But the article exactly adresses the issue of her not being in the trailer , or her having a FULL FLEDGED ROLE and explains that they wanted to keep her look hidden.

So until TRAILER all we can do is speculate.

If the article is by Bharat team I cannot see them 'shooting themselves in the foot' and stating: 'the role is big.. bigger than what she had in Zerro or TOh. a full fledged role'.

Why would they consciously declare 'it's a big role'...then do a 180 when movie is released and say ' the role was always small' ?

The point one poster made still stands: Pryianks was going ahead with the movie if she didn't get engaged and then married.

I cannot see Pryianka getting back into BW movies for a 2 min role.

Salman has also stated he wants Kat to have a big role in TZH- cannot see him changing his view on that either.

People think too much . See the teasers of every Salman movie, its always only him being shown however I dont expect Ali to give a shit role to Katrina
