Ek Ladki... opens next week. What are your predictions as to its box office opening?
I think it will open to Rs 4-5 crore but pick up due to WOM. I hope it becomes a super-duper hit. There are 2 weeks till Gullyboy opens so it has enough space to pick up collections.

Seeing the reviews from Manikarnaka, it seems there's not enough competition for this film. So it will be Kangana vs. Sonam at the box office, and the latter will emerge victorious.

Though a small film, I have high hopes that it does well. What are your thoughts?

The trailer looked damn good and interesting, except as usual for Sonam's dialog delivery......But I may check it out just for watching Anil-Sonam scenes...

This will do well for his budget.
Not a groundbreaking sum but well enough to recoup and make profits.
All this ^^ based on trailer and the story. Concept looks good and trailer gave a 'feel good' feeling.

Might change my opinion once I know more about the whole movie acting/scenes.

Yeah a lot of people have liked the trailer. Hope that translates into box-office collections.'😊

But with Sonam, she's not an A-lister. Almost there, but not quite. Rajkumar has had a fantastic 2018 but he's not a big star, either. I hope this does not affect the film negatively.

I read some early reports the budget was around 20 crore.
Probably somewhere between 20-30.

The trailer has sparked interest and was received well as have the songs.
With a low budget it could be decent run and the box office if the film turns out to be good.

I think it will be immensely successful financially. It has been made with a modest budget, so the profit margins and ROI will be higher than big budget films. I doubt it will be a blockbuster or megahit of some kind. It isn't being promoted as one either. Everything seems to point to a simple feel-good family film.
The lesbian love story has already generated a lot of interest and excitement. Many people are curious and anticipating the film. So I think it will open well.

If the film delivers and is good, then it will definitely pick up business and become a hit.

If the film is mediocre it will run on the curiosity factor to be a semi-hit.

Even if the film actually turns out to be poor. The interest and excitement have enough steam to collect enough for a modest profit.

The only way the film will be a disaster is if it is queer bait.

I think it will do well, specially in multiplexes.

I also think the movie will do well in multiplexes
There is a simple charm to the trailer and the movie has a feel-good factor...it has a slice-of-life aspect to it

I think it will be a sensitive and nuanced story...and Sonam's best role since Neerja.

Sonam has always been a A-lister...
