After Shootout At Lokhandwala, Shabbir Ahuwalia will be featuring in Apoorva Lakhia's next Mission Istanbul, also in a negative role.
The film is based on global terrorism and especially deals with Al Qaeda and Turkey politics.
Speaking to us about his role, Shabbir says, "My character name is Khalil and he is based in Turkey. It has shades of negative and positive. I can't disclose much about my role but I have more to do as compared to Shootout."
About the film, he says, "It's an action packed film which will have lots of violence but it's very realistic as the plot is based on terrorism. The film has been shot in Turkey (Istanbul area) and some parts have been shot in Rajasthan (Jaipur). We recently shot the climax scene so the shoot is almost over."
Why do you always get negative roles? "It is because of my looks and my hairstyle. May be I look like a terrorist but in reality I'm not," he quips.
The actor is currently seen in Kayamath as Milind in a positive role and there is strong buzz that he will be playing Arjun in Ekta's Mahabharata.
Apart from Shabbir, Mission Istanbul stars Viveik Oberoi, Suniel Shetty, newcomer Niketan Dheer (who was seen in Jodhaa Akbar) and Shriya Saran.
