doing the same movies. Madhuri is doing total dhamal for example and was Sri ever going to do that. Nope.

Sridevi was full time available here..

Madhuri is not and secondly, i dont think she likes to do films like EV or others which Sri did.

But she was always on tv. Literally every talent show & award show, did item songs. She did something like dead ishqya and gulab gang or something. She was overexposed when she arrived like SRK's 90's loverboy image and nothing worked.

Sri was reserved and made sensible choice and got commercial and critical success. Kalank was just business arrangements for Sri which madz got but won't do any good for her.

I feel Sri would have benefitted more with Kalank because after a long time audiences would have seen her in a glamourous dancing avtaar. Madhuri we have already seen do Dedh Ishqiya in a similar type of getup and dance numbers.

Sri would be loved even without glamorous roles. She settled so well with age appropriate role.
Point is Total Dhamal Kalank won't do any good for Madhuri's career even if they breaks records.

Thought is not morbid. When Divya Bharati died, Hulchal and DDLJ went to Kajol. Sridevi did Laadla and Raveena did Mohra. But Sridevi's reign was coming to an end anyway, Raveena took subbatical for Akshay. It was Kajol who benefitted the most.

In this case, first of all scripts are rarely written with middle aged person at the centre. These rare ones will not get approved by production houses.

Sridevi (Even Rani) has the advantage of producer husbands, who can make movies on them. Madhuri (or Aish) do not have that choice. They have to pick within whatever is given to them. So(even in future), Madhuri cannot get what Sridevi could have got.

Ridiculous thing to say dude..these new movies she is doing aren't comparable to her comebacks, she is plays side characters in them and that's probably the smarter way now for an older actress like her. Sridevi made one good movie in like 20+ years and people act like she was going to be making big hits after that one but apart from Mom which flopped, we didn't see anything of her in the few years since English Vinglish.

So no Madhuri doing more movies now has nothing to do with Sridevi's death (apart from the one exception, Karan Johar's movie I guess).
