The reports of Shah Rukh Khan quitting Saare Jahaan Se Achcha are "FAKE", confirms writer Anjum Rajabali

The writer of Rakesh Sharma biopic, Saare Jahaan Se Achcha, Anjum Rajabali has denied the news of Shah Rukh Khan leaving the film calling it a "fake news".

Before the release of Zero, it was reported that Shah Rukh Khan's next will be cosmonaut Rakesh Sharma's biopic Saare Jahaan Se Achcha. Though it wasn't officially announced, Shah Rukh Khan too had confirmed that he's doing the biopic and Aamir Khan, who was earlier approached for the film, too had confirmed Shah Rukh's presence in it. The film's producer Siddharth Roy Kapur had stated in an interview that an official announcement will be made soon.
In fact, even after the debacle of Zero, Shah Rukh had maintained that he'll be starting the movie soon. However, a couple of days back an entertainment portal reported that Shah Rukh Khan has opted out of the movie and will now start the shooting for Don 3. Soon, the news spread like a wildfire and many entertainment sites even started reporting and suggesting the actors who might replace Shah Rukh Khan for the lead role.

But, folks at Cinestaan contacted Saare Jahaan Se Achcha writer Anjum Rajabali, who straightaway denied the report of Shah Rukh Khan quitting the movie. In a text message, Anjum replied,
No, it's fake news.
Well, there you have it. Shah Rukh Khan is still a part of Saare Jahaan Se Achcha. And it looks like we can expect an official announcement about the movie soon. As far as Don 3 is concerned, there is no news about the movie. At the trailer launch of Gully Boy, Farhan Akhtar had teased everyone about a special announcement which led many to believe that it might be about Don 3. But, it looks to be about his upcoming boxing drama Toofan with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
