Still it was much better than Zero and I don't think it was offensive. This is what all policemen do in real life too during physical remand.

I really disliked it. Shame to end a year where content was "king" with a successful dumb masala movie that handles rape in an awful way.

Sanju was Ok, infidelity movies Ok? So many movies have been made on same subject by recognized directors and superstars

Why our conscience rise when watching one or ones movie but sleep while watching rest?

Some of the dialogues made me very uncomfortable like the one where the rapists saying to illustrate the rape again also thr lawyers dialogues were very insensitive in the court scene. Also can we be done with ghissa phitta dialogues like questioning manhood, and mein dikhata houn main kitna mard hoon.

@OP

Rape as a weapon to get revenge on a woman or against the men in her family has been used by society from ancient time. Case in point, the Mahabharata, when Dyuryodhan, Dushasan and Karna tried to sexually assault Draupadi. Some of them are applauded as heroes for doing it even by the supposedly enlightened people of this #metoo era. Sadly, the people applauding include women, who one would think would know better.

Rape as weapon goes on even now. At least, in SImmba, the criminal's orphaned pet dog (as he calls himself) realizes his sins and fights the perpetrators instead of perpetuating the horror and having his orphanhood used as an excuse to cover up the crime. It's a step in the right direction.
