I recently saw the film. I found it very offensive at places (like the whole conversation in the hail between police and the rapists where they are provoking the rapists). Some of the dialogues used are well very regressive and its also highly insensitive at places towards the issue .Like the casual references and sensationalization of the issue. Its a bit too much i feel.

I completely agree with you. I told my friends the same thing. It was insensitive and was using rape to mint some money by selling crap under the guise of 'oh it's a masala movie' which I found truly disgusting.

Rohit declined the allegation saying at this point in his career he does not need to do such thing as using it to mint money and it is something which came from the bottom of his heart.

Could you specify what sort of dialogues? Examples I mean...
BW films have sensationalized murder for years. I don't think sensationalizing rape is any more insensitive.

The movie definitely played with those sensitive emotions..
I understand what it was set to do.. and appreciate the sentiments.. but god.. the pondering.. just way too much..

the focus on revenge for muh boli sister and rape sensitivity is what makes this movie inferior to Temper.

The rape issue was just there to rattle up some emotions, mint money and rave reviews. The focus was on Ranveer's character, his revenge, his transformation.
I am yet to see a BW movie where they have handled the issue sensitively and realistically. Rape issue is used as an excuse, infusing extra-ordinary plotting skills of an ordinary person which doesn't happen in real life. In BW, it's all turned into revenge sagas, throwing some emotional dialogues here and there. Kaabil and MOM had the same slight problem.
I won't call the movie offensive though, insensitive for sure!
The movie is really below average and overrated.
