The writer had portayed every character beautifully, hardly any lose ends, realistic and what not. Felt for both the leads. A few people said in the forum that she cannot write good male leads. I disagree totally because Jagya and Shiv both were written beautifully (atleast according to me). I felt for Jagya also and not just Anandi.

Since you haven't watched the show, Jagya was Anandi's husband who wronged her.

This show successfully disappointed me and gave me what I never expected. Dislike for the writer and the character played by an actress I had once liked, and like mauli!

Uttaran started as a beautiful story but turned out to be another saas-bahu kind of serial eventually. Illogical twists and turns and what not. Which is why I say Silsila is another Uttaran to me because it's truly illogical

hehe just made a post about kunal 😆
i also feel kunal isnt written well. well kya he is written so poor..
but i really care that they can give him some awesome dialogues which can change our perspective about him..
at least thoda hi sahi...

ohh i havent watched it. but i know the names of three characters jagya , anandi and shiv..
i have seen promos but never got a chance to watch the show.. i know almost all main actors ..
i really think that the modern take on silsila backfired..!!
i mean they wanted to make it look like that in modern times falling in love and falling out of love is quick but they forgot that ema needs some solid base otherwise ur characters will look selfish which u dont want them to look like..
jis se kunal nandini hypocrite lgne lag gye. sometimes they were saint sometimes they were utter selfish..
makers should have given hints if grey to characters.
anyways that is past.
cant help it..

I agree that Kunal is written very poor. But my point was - the writer has written very good male characters. We can't generalize and say she CANT write good male characters and she is good at coming up with female characters only.

@bold
true that! They lost track of how/what they wanted to show. I can say they probably gave-in to the fall of TRP. may be!

BV...gajra did not write alone...there were co-writers who wrote jagya n shiv characters thus it was so beautifully written...
uttaran was worst...i never like veer...vansh was better written character but got destroyed...uttaran was boring for me...after vansh-ichcha phase i quit watching it...

the issue here...you guys are comparing writings of previous show not keeping the concept in mind...BV was a show on child marriage n social issues women deals with...i still remember after the end of the epi...they show a message of social issues...so whatever they are penning down in terms of story...characters it has to be revolved with its concept...

Silsila is not a story of social issues...its a story of two best friends and the friend fall in love with her best friend husband and involve in a EMA..the main theme of the show 'jazzbaat jazzbat hotein hai sahi ya galat nahin hota'...thats the main theme of the show there is no right n wrong in emotions...but what they execute on-screens literally disgust us becos they did not promise what they show in the promo all thanks to channel intervention 😡...you guys are comparing a show with all the rights to a show that leaves viewers mind with open interpretation of the rights n wrongs...

EMA is not wrong...it happens...there is no right n wrong to it
wife still in love with ex-husband...there is no right n wrong to it
moving on in life...there is no right n wrong...
ex-husband falls in love with ex-wife all over again...there is no right n wrong to it...even if they reconcile n rebuild their relationship in a new way...there is no wrong n right to it
stay single...there is no right n wrong

its all leaves to interpretation...with such concept how could u guys even compare it with a powerful BV where it fights with wrong deals with rights

this is why gajra perspective is not understand by all...you have lots of questions regards to kunal...mauli...nandini...
Maunal...Kunan...Mauhaan...all her hints are given in dialogues actually...you just have to connect the dots and your question is answered...she has have left loose ends for you to connect...there is no black n white like we watch in other shows...spoonfeed is the word...she leaves it grey...its complicated to the screens but connect the dots...its as simple as that...

my current issue is only cold n emotionless mode of kunal in post-leap...he is like a mystery at the moment...you can't actually read him...his thought process...a dual personality...one for the world n one for him...there is no clarity abt his feelings for nandini...mauli...he is just casual n cool abt everything...cold and aloof...emotionless...kunal can't go on like that...there should be something in him...studying him is a challenge itself...he is too extreme in his emotions pre-leap n post-leap too silent abt his emotions...thats the trick in his character one might feel yes he is just the way but you never know all this leads to hidden emotions in him and wears a mask...i could be right...i could be wrong...there is nothing new we all know poor writing of his character but at the same he has shut off his emotions too which is clearly shown...he might not show his guilt...regret or his pain on his face...when emotions are shut off completely...you don't trust yourself...emotions can never felt through the eyes n face...he does it in action and thats open interpretation for the viewers...some find it whitewashing...saint and for some through his action they realise he has realise his mistake...he is not like Ekta heroes...if she wrote kunal malhotra...by now kunal will be begging forgivesness to mauli...seeing her with ishaan...he might feel jealous n drunk...even in cold mode Ekta puts emotions in her male lead n gul too...gajra leave kunal cold n aloof...maybe she wants it that way or she is going to do something extreme with kunal...there is no balance like ekta n gul does

for mauli..i guess we are so used to see the strong female who supports for justice...fight for the rights...always strong and never go wrong...they are always rights in all stand...choosing self-respect and all...here mauli is balanced with both...she is strong as well as weak too when it deals with her emotions..being headstrong she choose the right but deep down there is no control over her emotions that is swaying here n there...she is righteous as well as flawed which fighting her own emotions...she is a human afterall

this show mainly deals with emotions and theme to it there is no right or wrong when it comes to emotions especially the emotion is love

even if you ask gajra how u write anandi n mauli...she will say why do you even compare mauli with anandi...prerna(kzk)...parvati...tulsi...etc...as the story deals with grey emotions rather than black n white

Purnendu Shekhar was the main writer of BV. I loved BV and all the characterizations. But Silsila is something else. So much inconsistency .
Indian TRps are not getting considered as there are reruns on TV. Show will end soon as soon as the extension is over. It won't be financially viable to have a long term show on voot .

What you are writing is ur POV . It's not a fact. All the viewers of the show can see what is being shown and interpret the scenes their own way. There is nothing right or wrong about anybody's interpretation. So it's wrong to assume other people cannot understand the show and only a few can.

P. S. I am assuming you do not know Gajra personally , then u cannot really say what's in her head.

ummm. i really have no idea about these writers.. nor i have seen BV so cant say they are good or bad with male persepctives..
btw even nandini wasnt a good written character.. so i guess they failed to write grey element in kunal amd nandini. and wanted them look white.. 😕

i think they received a lot of bashing which had confused them even more..but its nobody's fault.. if ema was handled well nobody has bashed them that way.
and now kunal is so tainted that even if they make him good then also people will not like it.. so makers are kind of trapped!!

mages if u really think "ema is not wrong" then its just ur thoughts..
if u think "ex wife still loves ex husband even after what he did to her" then again its only ur thoughts..
u can not actually say that IT IS NOT WRONG

and i amazed that writers juzzbaati crap "juzzbat sahi galat nhi hote." was crap when it was about kunan and now it is favoured, supported and liked bcz it is about maunal..
