zero may have underperformed, as the story wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but I think we can all agree the vfx used in this by SRK's Red chillies was absolutely amazing, the movie was a great advert for his company if not anything else.

From Ra one to Zero, what a long way bollywood has come 👏

The song sequence and the zero gravity sequence are visually perfect. You can see the improvement from Ra.One to Fan to Zero. But then it becomes difficult to appreciate the technical work, separately from an otherwise goof film.
Also the issue is that it is literally only SRK. Even the real ships looked like a cheap cartoon in Thugs of Hindostan. Baahubali looks like a total cartoon. So does Race 3.
Padmavat, they just lazily avoided everything by putting sandstorms.

I am interested to see what they will do with Brahmastra.

Yep, Srk has single handily took bollywood vfx to a whole new level, no doubt future productions will be using his company for their vfx, TOH looked horrible.

And that unfortunately is the biggest problem.

Not really, the story in the second half was the problem, not the vfx

Technology is cool but if not used well is just a cool tool with no meaning. Meaningless technology cannot be appreciated. I am sick of people obsessed with meaningless & useless tech for the cool factor! A tree outside is probably more fascinating & is crucial for our life lol!

That's what I said. The amount of time they spent on the VFX could be spent on the betterment of the story and screenplay. Without that, what's the point of all the VFX work?

Still SRK looked absolutely artificial and unconvincing as a dwarf. Anupam Kher looked a better dwarf in Janeman and that was 12 years back.
