Hands down Deepika and Ranveer.

Both with Padmavaat. Both their roles stayed with me.

Deepikas last twenty minutes in the film where the best scene for me in this year out our all movies I have seen (tamil, englisch, german and Hindi). I only have to think about that scene and I immediately get goosebumps.

If it's just performance, there are multiple. DP, aloo, Tapsee, Tabu.

But, overall it's DP. Though Ranveer took most acclaim for Padmavat, it's DP's stardom that got folks to theatres. Her bravely standing tall (pun intended) in the face of those threats. And coming out as highest paid actress in a male dominated list.
