Jay quits Kayamath

Jay Bhanushali aka Neev, the male lead of Kayamath, is set to quit the show. And Ekta, who usually gets testy with such tantrums, has no issues

Another Ekta Kapoor loyalist has quit a show that made him a household name. Neev aka Jay Bhanushali is all set to quit Kayamath. A few days ago, Jay had expressed to Ekta that he had very little to do in the show and was at crossroads.

Says a source from the Kayamath unit, "Earlier, Jay had great visibility in Kayamath. But after the storyline changed, the focus is on Shabir Ahluwalia. As a result, his track is going nowhere. Hence he has requested Ekta to remove him from the show."

When contacted, Jay put up a brave front. He said, "I am fine. There's no problem. Yes, my role has decreased but I think I will have a lot to do in the show, next month."

It's rather surprising that Ekta is letting him off without much ado. When we spoke to Kapoor, she was frank and forthcoming. She said, "Yes, Jay feels that his role is not going anywhere. He wants to quit but I might keep him back in Balaji by offering him the main lead in my new upcoming show on Sony TV.

There is no doubt that he deserves a plum role." Well Jay, one thing is clear, Ekta respects you and will do anything to hold you back. So stop sulking and start acting.
