Exactly. They're selling a facade and we buy into it. In advertising repeatition is key and they do it so our subconscious believes in it. The more you're exposed to an idea specially when it's communicated subliminally the stronger it'll get

For eg if I believe alia is ugly and everywhere it's communicated she's the most beautiful girl in the world then I'll feel stupid to even have that opinion as certainly it's only me

Beauty has never beenthe measure by which actors actresses succeed. otherwise Diya Mirza would have been number one.

without makeup, Rani Mukherjee, Kajol, Sonam, look nothing like movie star. but its a fortunate thing that stardom doesnt come just because of beauty. and that that inner fire, personality, talent are more guarantee of success.

i was unimpressed with Alia in SOTY but came Highway, no warpaint, no hairdresser, no designer dress but i wasbowled over. it wasnt because of being swayed by Karan Johar. it was Alia herself. Her own true vibe. Her youth. Her fabulously natural portrayal.

if Alia hadnt had it in her. no ads, no KJo, could have convinced anyone otherwise. i know Shraddha is considered pretty. But i dont find her so. i think she gives off a very ordinary vibe. but i know others find her very beautiful. Thats individual preference.

Katrina is average. ? not at all in my book. most models havesome flaw. Sloping shoulders, unattractive legs, unshapely feet. Katrina is blessed with mostly perfect features. But maybe someone else prefers a more voluptuous body, a more Indian face?

Alia was okay in highway nothing special. She's mediocre, doesn't make her the best actress kjo is trying to portray her.

but everyone telling us then she must be.

In raazi she was moaning while trying to portray she's hurt and then those nostril cries 😆
