Just read the news Ambani-Piramal wedding celebrations cost 100 million dollars and only 10 million USD(in flation adjusted) less than compared to Prince Charles and Princess Dianna which was the most expensive wedding of the Century 😲😡

I thought Lakshmi Mittal's daughters wedding was the most expensive one!

Who : Sahara Chief Subrata Roy's sons' double wedding

Where: Lucknow

Cost :552 crore

The weddings of Subrata Roy's sons, Sushanto with Richa and Seemanto with Chandini took place at the Sahara Auditorium in Lucknow in 2004. The wedding dresses were from famous designers like Rohit Bal and Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The venue was luxuriously decorated with mashals , torch lights, wax lights and prism glasses. There were 110 types of dishes from across the world. Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kapil Dev, Anil Ambani, along with several other famous celebrities were present at the event.

550 crores in 2004, means at this time it will cost nearly 1000 cr. Roy ne investors sara paisa shadi me hi udaya hai.

Except Ambani is spending his own money

The royal family wedding is funded by taxpayers, atleast partly from what I heard
