And here the accident is only a subplot to show how much Anurag cares for prerna. The main plot is still the wedding and Anurag needs to there to wear another floral super tight Kurta.

Another authentic thing I noticed is how in most serials they make humongous deal of the colour of the mehendi and the name of the guy written on the girls hand etc etc... but the actual mehendi is done really badly/basic and usually it's not there on the girls hand in scenes after a couple of days. But Erica's mehendi seems pretty intricate and it is appearing in lots of photos of her.
I also wonder if this is an Erica touch rather than a production house.

Did they skip the mehndi ceremony?? Isn't it part of the wedding ceremony?

So in the end it took him less than 24 hrs to recover. 😆
