I think it's not the characters that are to be blamed, but the situation.
Both Sameer and Naina haven't been just emotional or just practical ever since they started being in a relationship. There have been instances where Naina has listened to her heart and Sameer has preferred logic (such as when Kartik and Sunaina had locked them both in the principal's office; Sameer wanted to break the glass so that they could escape however Naina decided to accept her love in front of the whole world and was ready to face the consequences.)

It's never about how emotional or practical you or your partner is in that relationship, it's about the balance between the two. Both Sameer and Naina love each other unconditionally, and thus wouldn't want to see the other suffer in any way. What Naina did yesterday wasn't entirely right, because it was the anger in her tone that reflected more than the slight hint of pain. However, she was upset because he had sacrificed his academics for her. She was mad at him, but angrier at herself for indirectly being the reason behind his failure. For a moment, she had been in awe of his selfless love, but the next moment her senses took over as she realized he had suffered academically because of her, for her. I still do long for a reconciliation where Sameer and Naina can both justify themselves and clear their misunderstandings.

As far as Vishakha is concerned, her words seem to echo in his mind every time it shouldn't. But that's the reality, we tend to remember those memories that give us pain more than those that give us happiness. Just how Sameer had always considered Dadi's cruel words during the manhoosiyat track over everyone else's. His heart and mind had been in constant battle even then, even then he had felt he wasn't right for Naina. But she had ended his darkness even then, and will do the same now too. (fingers crossed)

Just my opinion; my intention was not to offend or critique anyone. 😊

@BOLD2 TBH she has the right to feel guilty bcoz Sameer couldn't give exams and she was one of the reason for it! Anybody will feel guilty! Why should she admit now, that too after a long time! That would be a stupid decision, instead some other thing could be done! Regarding supplementary exams, my college didn't have such, so i'm not sure!

@BOLD3 At some situations you need to think from head! Its not her fault, both didn't understand each other properly! Both of them have some insecurities and they need to sort out especially Sameer! Vishaka's words are ringing like anything in his head!

Thanks for voicing your thoughts😊
Apparently VJN has supplementary papers because if you look at the scene where they show Sameer's marks, just above Sameer's 'Fail' you can see the word 'supplementary'.That means someone in that list is writing a supplementary paper/has written a supplementary paper...This supplementary thing was shown in the scene where they show the close up of the marks..That's how I got the idea :)

Maybe Naina's reaction was a bit too much but she is right in a sense. At least she realized that this act landed them up in trouble and Sameer lost a year. Both of them made a mistake of 'romancing' at their college. But, tbh, this was Sameer's fault for continously ignoring Naina when she tried to talk it out with him outside the premises of the college. Had he tried to talk with her instead of increasing the volumes of his radio and putting earphones, this situation wouldn't be cropped up.
Karthik had hugged her intentionally and Sameer knows Karthik and his behavior for a very long time. And, Vishaka is at fault here because she judged Naina in one-go. Without Naina's influence, Sameer would've become Karthik 2.0 even in his college years. Naina is imperfect but at least she thinks rationally at the same time. Sameer is ready to pay anything just to be with Naina but Sameer should realize that he is also studying as well.

Loved your thought... if not for Naina, Sameer would have become Karthik 2.0

Hi

Bold- Here I completely disagree with you.

He is not Kartik. He is Sameer Jaiprakash Maheshwari who has his Nanu's upbringing.

He always respected girls. You can clearly see that in case of Kamya,Swati and even Sunaina.

Though Naina complained about him in school but he still helped her. Even during bet phase also he always respected her and he never crossed any lines with her.

There is no comparison of him with Kartik who was ready to ruin Naina's reputation just for his revenge which Sameer never did even he placed that bet with senior boys.

It's not about influence it's about upbringing as well as core character of that person and Sameer was always a gentleman and he showed that again and again unlike Kartik.

^Hey, what i meant is that he would continue to bet on girls just like he did in his teenage years before transforming into a better person.

Hi Dear

Again I disagree with you and it's my POV so don't mind.

He placed that bet in school because of his anger and because his Nanu got insulted in school without any of his fault.

Sameer was always a pure and kind hearted soul. It's not like that he changed into better person. He was always a good kid and that's the reason he always regretted that bet when he got to know real Naina. If he would've been like Kartik he wouldn't even have bothered about Naina's heartbreak but he did. He accepted his mistake, regretted and asked forgiveness from Naina. It was his goodness which compelled him to do it. He was always a better person because of Nanu it's not like that he changed afterwards.

I agree with you @truptishree
The thappad wasn't justified...Sameer missed his exams...this track should have been given a little more time to make him understand his mistake or to get him out of it... khair

I m happy that Preeti knocked some sense and made her realize that Sameer did it for love and protecting her reputation
