Mr viswanathan iyer ,one of the top most businessman of chennai ,entered his house happily .Madhvi iyer his wife showed up and asked " viswa you are looking too happy ,has something good had happened or what ".

Mr iyer smiled fully and spoke " yeah , madhu you are right ,I m very happy today.

M- what happened ,did you get some big contract or project .

Mr iyer - arey nahi madhu ,its bigger that some project and contract .

M(smiling fully )- is it so ,tell me what's it .

Mr iyer- today I got call from Om ,he informed that now they want to take ishita to their home as their daughter in law. He told that now both the kids are grown up,Raman has established himself in his business and is now ready to start married life .

M- that's so good news ,I was all worried thinking what if they back out but they proved me wrong ,I m so happy for ishu .

They were talking when ishita entered the house and asked casually " amma appa ,you people are looking too happy ,kuch achcha hua hai kya ".

Mrs iyer - yes kanna , something very good has happened today .

She said cupping ishita's face ,she got confused and asked " tell me the matter amma ".

Mrs iyer - of course we will tell you as it's about you only .

I- about me ,what happened .

Mr iyer got from his place and spoke " madhu tell everything to ishu and start the arrangements for her farewell ".

I- farewell ? m I going somewhere.

M- yes kanna ,now the time has come when my daughter will go to her husband's house .

I(surprised)- whose house ?

M- your husbands house.

I- you are joking na ?

M- joking ,why would I. No kanna it's not any joke but actually your in laws want to take you along with them.

I- are you serious amma , my husband , when did the marraige happened .

M- why are you behaving so surprised, hadn't I told you ever about your marraige, aren't you doing varalaxmi vrat and all rituals like a married woman .

I- haan but I always think that you are training me for future ,I never know that you prolld had already done my marraige.

M- to ab jaan gayi na , now prepare yourself . We have to do lots and lots of preparations, it will be almost like marraige .how we are going to manage everything in just a week ,ishu you do one thing make a list of everything and be ready ,tomorrow we will go for shopping .

Ishita got irritated listening to her mother's non stop rant and shouted " stop it amma ,I m not going anywhere with any unknown person . Main is shaadi ko nahi maanti , I m not going anywhere with anyone ."

M- shut up ,had you lost it . Do you even know what are you saying ,you people are married and marraige is not a game that it will be played as per your will .

I- exactly I was saying same, marriage is not a game ,I don't even know about it and suddenly one day you are saying that I have to go with some random person leaving you all .

M- ishu kanna why aren't you understanding, they are not random people but your husband and inlaws .

I- honge ,but I don't even know about them ,kabhi na unko baare mein jaana, never met him never talked to him and suddenly this . No amma main is shaadi ko nahi maanti ,I m not going anywhere .got that .

M- what are you saying ishita ,stop your drama ,in our culture girls have to live according to their family ,so stop being angry and start preparing .

I- no I will not amma ,main kahin nahi jaaungi and will elop if you people will force me .

M- shut up and go to your room ,either you know your father well .

I- I m also his daughter , will do as per my will .

They were still arguing when Mr iyer came back and asked " madhu what happened why you people are arguing ".

I- appa I don't know them so I will not go anywhere.

Mr iyer - kanna we can't go against our society, you are married to and have to go to your inlaws place .

I- but appa...

Mr iyer - no more arguments ,I don't have time to listen to your childish talks as have to arrange many things .

Ishita tried to talk to him again but Mr iyer denied straight and told her to go to her room ,she made a grumpy face and went to her room stomping her feet on floor while Mr and Mrs iyer started talking about the preparations which has to be done .

On the other hand in Delhi senior bhallas were convincing Raman to bring his wife .

R- aise kaise ma ,how can you people even think of this . Marraige without seeing eachother happens in your time now a days people start their relationship first then think of marraige and you people want me to bring an unknown girl to house as my wife .

T- she us not unknown but your wife.

R- haan aisi wife jiska naam bhi mujhe pata nahi hai .

T- her name is ishita ,ishita Raman bhalla .

R- don't add my name with her, do she know about all this ,is she ready to come here leaving her parents.

T- aur nahi to kya ,we had already informed them and they are ready .

R- jo karna hai karo but I m telling you beforehand ,I will not bring that girl if she will not be ready .

Raman said in warning tone .

T- haan theek hai .

Toshiji too said in same tone . Raman didn't argue anymore and went to his room ,while his parents too started doing arrangement to welcome their daughter in law.

A week passed in jiffy between the preparations and bhallas reached Chennai to bring their daughter in law along. Mr iyer welcomed them whole heartedly , took them to the hotel room which he had booked for them . He also informed that ,the had arranged a huge party to introduce them and ishra as husband and wife . Though Raman was not much interested in all these but he was liking the hospitality of Mr iyer because of which he was getting impressed and had made a nice image of his wife in his mind . He had started imagining his wife coming down from the long staircase ,him forwarding his hands for her ,she sliding her hand in him and both walking towards the big stage made for them.He was somehow accepting their childhood marriage while ishita was still not ready for all this . It was evening the beautician was making ishita ready while she was disheartened ,she was not liking this rather was feeling suffocation in entering this unwanted relationship. She was all ready ,decked up in orange color kanjiwaram saree ,her hair were tied in nice braid while it was beautifully decorated with flower strings, she was wearing heavy jewelleries , while her hands were full of mehendi like a newly wedded bride . That's when amma entered the room and gave her a small box and told " ishu put this in your partition. "

Ishita thought for sometimes then asked " kya hai isme ".

Amma- sindoor hai ,put it in your partition so that you look like a married woman.

I- no amma mujhse nahi hoga ,I m not going to put anything more ,already you people had made me west somuch without my will and now thos vermillion ,I will not put this .

Amma- ishu stop all this ,those people are standing downstairs ,waiting to have a glimpse of you and here you are creating unnecessary tension .

She was still scolding ishita when her phone buzzed ,appa was calling her downstairs as the guests were asking for her . Amma instructed one of ishita's friend to bring ishita down when she will be called ,the girl nodded ,amma went down to meet bhallas and other guests .
