I think the writers changed the story. I always felt like they were trying to build love story between Kalyani and Atharva, in some scenes I noticed the chamgc in the BG music too. Also I remember Kalyani and Atharva were nominated in Best New Jodi category in ZRA 2018.
sorry to jump in but I would like to say something. Malhar was always supposed to be the ML. Sheban is a popular face and he wouldn't sign any project where he is not a lead. Also in the first week Athrav was supposed to elope with his gf. And in the second week or so when Majhar was introduced he had the hero entry in shirtless avtar as ACP Rane and another one in a dhoti. He even had a scene where he came to Kalyani's rescue at her mother's last rite pooja. In another instance he rescued Kalyani from goons hero style. They didn't change the story it was always supposed to be Kalma as end game .They had to show Atharav and kalyani as potential ship initially because at that time Malhar was married and also they can't start a show showing romance between an older guy and a teenager being played by teenage actress.

It makes a lot of sense what you are saying...the way you are putting the pieces of the puzzle together.Whatever was the case, the story kept its integrity and sensitivity as it shows how Kalyani is sacrificing for Anupriya and how, now, she puts first the same woman that her father ditched like she was nothing.

So right... When Malhar is going to find out the truth he is going to be on an emotional rollercoaster. He is not going to forgive himself for what he did to Kalyani and Anupriya. They are actually the only ones who risk so much trying to save his marriage and protect his child.
