I do think that he was genuinely sad. Now he is on the other side and for the first time he saw how intolerable Surbhi and Deepak are. Inspite of all their antics and provocation, in the end, Sree's mistake was bigger and he bear the brunt of it. Last week it was Megha and this week Sree. He also experienced first hand how Surbhi actions can hurt a person and he was genuinely feeling sorry for him.

Found it fake since he is not expressive.
And for who? Sree?

He is just against Surbhi and needs reasons to put her down. Wish he'd expand his outlook.
