Mauli has to realize that she can't be mother to both Pari & Mishti at this stage. Just because Nandini is dead & requested her to take care for her (which was insensitive & stupid of her), doesn't mean Mauli becomes this great person. No harm in not showering love on Pari & just be a stranger who loves her like any other child rather than a daughter. That's pretty human & understandable too. This woman always has her priorities wrong.
Pari living without mother is not Mauli's fault & headache but Kunal's issue to deal with. It's Kunal who should be worrying about that & Mauli should be the last person he should expect this from for any reason in this world. If he wants more, then his family can shift with him & Mauli can shift with Ishaan. Mauli's level of empathy gets on my nerves. It was Mauli's over-nice behavior that cost her everything she held dear. Doing that once more will cost her Mishti this time. Let Mishti be with Ishaan & there is no need for Kunal to come in front of her again & again. He was willing to live without her had Nandini not asked him to go. He even questioned her arrival in his life. Kunal wasn't happy with Mauli's pregnancy & that truth will never change.
This Mauli isn't realistic. She needs to have a basic level communication with Mishti but truth remains that Kunal didn't love her mother & at this age this is enough for the child to have negative attitude for the other parent & Kunal doesn't come alone, he comes with a lot of things Mishti can't accept. Even grown ups can't bear their step-siblings, we are talking about children here. Besides, Pari herself doesn't know other side of the truth. All she knows is her mom was BFF with Mauli but not that Mishti is her step-sister. Even she can't know this truth.
Mishti can't know the real ugly truth at this age since that would make her more bitter. And Pari should be made to accept by Kunal that she can't play friendship-friendship with Mishti. Just tell her that there are things she won't understand at this age. Pretty sure a child of this age can find new friends in schools. It's not like they really understand best friendship thing at this age. Teach Mishti to behave decently even without liking them at all, ask Pari to not push her.
Mishti suffering is due to Kunal & Pari's suffering is due to nature & her mother's own doing which has strained this relationship. Every step Mauli takes towards Pari will take her away from Mishti.
There is difference between feeling compassion, sympathy & empathy. While compassion & sympathy is fine, empathy definitely not. At this stage Mishti & Pari can't be friends at all. There are enough ugly truths to ruin it.
It is Mauli's attachment to Kunal that is leading to Mishti's anger. And Mauli needs to understand that. If she accepts Kunal, Mishti might grow up hating her too for this. She might not even respect her back. If Mauli has really moved on, then she should stop going back to Kunal every now & then. Just live normally to prove that things are normal with you. Mauli herself is a mess right now. At this point, she is more stupid than anyone else.
