Coincidentally, I was reading this novel a couple of days ago where the heroine's parents got divorced when she was 8.
And her father did an amazing job to make her understand the situation. He took an example of how the girl disliked one of her classmates & wanted to get into another section. And then told her that even elder people/parents can have fight & split.
The girl accepted it. She even had cordial relation with her half brother. But she told her mother that she hated it when her mother falsely accused her father of domestic violence.
Mauli/Ishaan doesn't have to tell her that Kunal cheated on them with Nandini. But they can easily say they had a tiff & Kunal didn't know about her. Let the girl grow up with this satisfaction that she is loved.
Once she grows up, she can decide herself whether would she hate or love Kunal.
