Actually, in the real world when a king ascend to the throne. The wife or official wife in case the king is polygamous is either called queen consort or princess consort. But, in case of a queen as ascending to the throne and became a queen regnant e.g Queen Elizabeth II and Queen Victoria, their spouses were not king consort, but rather a prince consort.

I am not sure what the rules are with the naaglog. But, if it is any similar with the real world then by marrying the naagrani does not automatically make Mahir a naagraj. There is also the fact that he is a human and not a naag. So, I wonder how he will be the naagraj of naaglog if he is a human. Will the naaglog ever accept a human ruling over them. Especially, when they have high prejudice against human?
