Americans believe that their Thanksgiving is from 1621 harvest feast, though there were many thanksgiving few years ago.
During that year, a feast was shared by the English colonists (Pilgrims) of Plymouth and the Wampanoag people.

The American holiday is rich in legend and full of symbolism, and the traditional fare of Thanksgiving meal typically includes turkey, bread stuffing, potatoes, cranberries and pumpkin pie.

This holiday is often one of the busiest of the year as family, friends or colleagues gather together during the meal. Students and workers get days off so that they can celebrate Thanksgiving with their loved ones.

In some cities and towns, there are parades during the Thanksgiving weekend.
