He cant sell Pataudi Palace without relinquishing his title. even then. he didnt have much money when he married Amrita. Then he had two kids to look after. his film did well after number of flops and he moved in with Rosa. threw a fit when she bought a 8 lakh carpet if Stardust was to be believed.

he did well after that but was living the lavish life. if he keeps going on holidays he has to send his kids too.

and buy them what he buys kareena. their education. he has not earned like salman, Srk or akshay. and now his films have flopped. what income will Sacred games bring him?

his fee must have come crashing down after his flops.

and he is growing older. who will pay him what they paid him during Hum Tum days?

so its logic that Saif is concerned about money. isnt Taimur just a toddler. he has to provide for him too,

They only own a small part of the palace. The rest of the palace was sold to a hotel a long time ago because they couldn't afford to maintain it. You can rent a room and stay there but it's in the middle of nowhere so I don't think it's that popular.

Saif was complaining a few years ago that he had to earn money to renovate their part of the palace. It also has so many heirs, not just Saif, and is not liquid cash that he can do anything with.

Kareena earns good money so I'm sure they're fine. I think these days half their vacations are probably sponsored. Half the celebs get free flights and free hotel rooms or free airbnb homes. 😆
