Precisely - if you're gonna display your outside camaraderie with a contestant as host of this show in the manner that Salman has - by mocking the guy every time he speaks to him - it's going to look bad to a section of people, and that included his wife. Yeah, she could've reached out to him privately - but she politely stated her views on SM instead, which made Salman look bad, and therefore that's all that matters - what does Salman care about how KV + others may truly have felt about his so-called jokes? Or that there was outrage for a reason - it wasn't made up.

Let alone an apology, this wasn't even clarification. It would've been had Salman said dude people have the wrong idea - that was not my intention, etc. And he could've added that he doesn't appreciate Teejay's letter if he needed to - but unsurprisingly - nope. It was no clarification - it was expected vindictiveness. As much as I've liked Salman as host in previous seasons, it is no secret that the man mocks and humiliates at will, while being unable to take an ounce of criticism let alone a joke on himself.

Salman ego n ahamkar is on seventh cloud, its amazing how highly he thinks of himself.
