Trp or Barc will be calculated through set up box system In India now the Government insisting all the houses to have set up box with this they calculate trp as there r many private satellite systems r there like tata sky airtel and sun direct etc for eg if we have tata sky then whatever channel or programme we will see that will be recorded in the tata sky service centre near ur house and barc office they take average of all this service centre recordings and they calculate and through this trps the shows get ads and lif PH and channel get profit then they continue the show

Sometimes the trps will be less but the shows continue due to online popularity and this will be calculated in their channels online system only for eg like Voot will have separate and Hot star will have separate ratings this serial gossips online rating they wont consider as it is not reliable

And in some cases eventhough the show is not having gud trps they run becoz of lesser paid starcast and not that much budget eg Savithri and jijaji and in somecases like Yen un dino eventhough it gets less trps it is very much popular in online u can chech in official online stie Time of India that is reliable one
