"Tum janna chahte ho naa ki main kyun tumhen apne kareeb nahi aane dena chahti?"
"Haan...janna hai mujhe"
"Kya hua hai...kyun door bhaag rahi ho tum mujhse?"
"Kyunki tum..tumhari kahi baatein..mere dil pe bahut asar karti hain. Tum jo kehte ho, tum jo chahte ho mere dil ko bahut accha lagta hai"
"Main lad rahi hun, main apne aap se lad rahi hun aur tumne mujhe bahut kamzor kar diya hai Anurag.."
"Haan Prerna, it's okay...yeh toh acchi baat hai naa"
"Nai...yeh acchi baat nahin hai"
No bombastic dialogues. Simple, honest and just what two people like Prerna and Anurag of this day and age would say to each other.
Prerna cannot bring herself to say she loves him. Not yet, aah. Not so soon. She secretly hopes there may never come a point where she'll have to SAY it out loud. But her eyes, her big, gorgeous eyes melting like pools of fire and passion..they were asking him questions of her own. Bigger than what he was asking her. "Anurag, do you not understand?"
On the other hand, Anurag cannot bring himself YET to even THINK he has something for her other than friendship. Rajesh uncle ki beti and their friendship is the safe haven he'd like to hide under, for the time being and for as long as he can. Why then, does her NOT talking to him, or confiding in him, or being stupid and hurting her life bother him so much? Why does he feel the need to cradle her cheeks and wipe her tears away?
Her apparent stiffness and reluctance to be around you, her occasional iciness despite your knowledge of her real nature, has seemingly ignited a fire within you. "Prerna, why do you not understand?" A fire you cannot control Anu. Kya ho gaya hai tumhen? Khud se poocha?
Anu's naivete clouded his perception of the real picture today. Yet again, despite the anguish and the fire burning in his heart, he could not fathom the depth or the true meaning of his own feelings...nor Prerna's. It's a good thing isn't it, if Prerna's resolve is weakening? Then she won't go ahead and marry this loser Naveen. She will be saved. But from what Anu? Saved to fall into a deeper trench she cannot get out of, her whole life?
Saved to become yours truly, forever. But never really to walk hand in hand in the journey called life..
Maybe you are unable to smell the aroma that love brings forth.. in the way it's washing over your thoughts, actions, your whole being...it's sweet and alluring when it begins, but deepens and glows all crimson red, as time passes. Is this what has happened to You Anu? That you cannot fathom the meaning behind your restlessness, your stubborn determination to not let Prerna ruin her life, your conviction in, and obsession with doing whatever it'll take to keep her safe. Why, Anu? Why do you want it so bad?
When you implore her, telling her "Don't marry Naveen babu" what is it that you want to say but that dare not slip your tongue? If you could have your way, who should she marry then?
Prerna's eyes shone bright...with tears of realization...of an impending doom or maybe, a love so powerful it might surpass the "Thorn Birds". There's a fire within her, that's threatening to leap up and explode, baring the deepest recesses of her soul. Just as strong as the cool, ice-like demeanor of Anurag who thinks she is melting because of his constant recriminations regarding Naveen, rather than because of him. Anurag, the charming, resolute boy whose heart knows what it wants.
Clearly, Prerna is gradually moving towards a point of no return, while Anu is still navigating the safe, ambiguous waters of "friendship and care".
But Anurag, there isn't a friendship on earth that can explain why an apparent innocuous touch of that "friend's"hand on your cheek can calm the biggest, raging storms inside of you. You looking so deeply, so purely into Prerna's eyes, and cradling her face with that warmth that you did calmed, for some time at least, the fire within her. Her not moving away from you like you matter no more than "Moloy Kaka ka beta" calmed the fire within you. As of now.
Till you play the dance of fire and ice again.
Needless to say, Parth and Erica were excellence personified in today's episode. I am repeating myself, yet again, but Parth is truly talented. He just doesn't have to say a lot. He can just look at you, in the purest, most naive way possible, and you'd give your heart to him. Whereas Erica (whose acting I've liked better in KRPKAB) is just brilliant in these scenes where you've got to talk less and emote more. Today, it was all about how their eyes did all the talking,or at least most of it.
They don't know it yet, but they've long since crossed that threshold of "Rajesh uncle ki beti" and "Mere papa ke dost ka beta". đłđł
There's something else I noticed today. When AnuPre realized goons had entered Basu House and were creating trouble, Prerna simply wanted to make a dash and "do something", whereas Anu wanted to have a well-thought strategy for dealing with these buggers.
Prerna is clearly impulsive, Anurag is clearly the one who believes in a plan. They've both got their hearts in the right place though.
But what will happen when Anurag sees a threat to his mom's life, in tomorrow's episode? I believe these sequences have been strategically planned to show us the extremes Anu can go to, for the love of his life AND his mom. Dekhna yeh hai, which side of him will win.
P.S. That scene with Anu trying to manao (or samjhao, not sure) Prerna, with him trying to wipe her tears, and she moving her face away..in that roothna-manana style. Uff. They both killed itđđđ The music was just apt for the scene, "Kuch pata na chala..." Do you guys know which song it is?
It's funny, in the room when Prerna was trying to shoo Anu awayđ at one point, he thought she was getting scared of him because she probably equated him with Naveen's creepy come-hither behavior. So funny. Not once did he think maybe he's doing things to her he cannot even imagine.
AnuPre's is a love (especially Anurag)waiting to be unleashed. There is no other word for this.
PRECAP - Those goons give them a choice - ya toh beta marega ya Maa. But pray, tell me, I thought Moloy managed to signal to the police that they really ARE in trouble. With the thugs being so cocky and all, does it mean Moloy couldn't indicate by any means whatsoever that they're in deep shit?
Also, why do I have a feeling Prerna will just stand right in between to save Anurag?đđ
