Her makeup is fine, but i guess she doesn't do touch-ups often. You can notice the difference of makeup in the same costume, as they wear it for almost a week (as someone pointed out about the blue saree look from two days was diff). The biggest complain i have is why doesn't Jen wear Kajal, it just makes her eyes so beautiful. I hate dark lipsticks on her, but she likes it, esp red.
Even i hated her KC look and Muh dikhayi wala. Rest were fine after marriage, but i feel Zoya has lost her essence. Yes, i'm gonna repeat it again n dis has got nothing to do with religion. How does a person change her look overnight? They should have atleast shown it happen gradually. I'm waiting for them to start working, to see their work looks.

Now that i'm done with my rant, i would also like to add that Jen has been working since childhood. She must have been wearing makeup since dn n hence i see her mostly avoiding makeup too. So, i guess we need to let her be.

PS: I don't get the craze of the makeup and clothes of some of the other shows leads. I find their looks OTT. Zoya was so simple n endearing before marriage.

Natural does not mean colourless and dull and nobody wears nude lip shades with every single outfit.

I agree that they overuse the nude shade on her lips and it has kind of gotten boring now (even though I am a big fan of that particular shade as I own a very similar one and it goes perfectly well for daily use). I think the nude shade is Jen's personal preference as I remember reading in some interview of hers wherein she mentioned she likes that shade.

I personally like her makeup and do not find it dull. But, as I said her best look was of the initial days. The airport look to be very precise.

I think the look is just to simulate day to day looks of usual girls..we dnt wear much makeup or things like that..may be they just try that to make us feel more connected to the looks :)

I agree with you on how her looks changed too suddenly. She can be married and still keep her identity. If she wears certain things before marriage, she can continue them into her married life. It's not like someone told her to dress differently so I don't get the sudden abandonment of the key things that made her 'Zoya'. Her nose ring made her look royal and even her make up was better.
Which brings me to the part I disagree with. Jennifer is clearly a beautiful woman. She does not need a lot of make up. So her wearing a lot of make up since a very young age is not the point here. And I'm not asking her to be caked in makeup. I just want her make up to be a bit more complimentary to her over all look. In beyhadh she was stunning. As kumud she was stunning. In bepanah she has been stunning pre leap but steadily the makeup artist seems to be neglecting her. After marriage looks are always the prettiest looks. They can give her a pop of colour with a lip shade that suits her (her lip colour on bela's haldi ceremony and the airport scene were perfect for her). Give her eyes proper attention (as youve said already) be it kajal or eye shadow but make em pop out because she has stunning eyes. Give her a little blush and highlighter and she'll look stunning (which she is even without makeup)
But her makeup is just plain boring as of now. It maybe due to her changing her hair shade to a lighter colour. If it is because of that, then the makeup artist should take the hair colour into consideration when doing her makeup. Compensate for the dullness a lighter hair colour brings by giving her a more fresh look.
You can look fresh with minimal makeup too if that makeup is applied tastefully and artistically. Her best features in my opinion are her eyes and her smile.
P.S: couldn't agree more. I will never understand how a show can show a female lead belonging to a middle class or lower class family and yet still dressing up like they're about to walk down a runway. I disliked IPKKND for several reasons but the one thing I did like was that Khushi's overall style and look did not undergo a drastic change after marriage. Her fashion was tacky before marriage and remained tacky after marriage. But it was consistent. I wish that they had atleast kept the nose ring and kajal eyes for zoya. And does she absolutely have to wear saaris all the time? She can experiment no?
One other example of a female character in a show that remained consistent with her style after marriage would have to be twinkle from tashan e ishq. I did not follow the show for long. But I remember that her style basically remained consistent. But most shows have FLs with overdone make up. It makes me sorry for the actresses. Over doing makeup can make even the most stunning actress look absolutely haggard. Makeup should be used to enhance what they already have. Rather than paint a face till its unrecognizable

But this is a woman who has just been married. She's going to dress up a bit more in the initial days of marriage. And plus every day look does not necessarily mean a dull look. Lots of people wear make up every day even if its just a little. The makeup artist can use a bare minimum and still make it look nice. But the current look is not and everyday look. It's just colourless. No colour on the lips or the cheeks or the eyes. And I'm not saying Jennifer has a bad complexion or anything. She has lovely skin and a lovely complexion. It's the make up that makes it seem like she has no colour. There has to be something to compliment the clothes. Plus as I've said before she just married a while ago. She's going to want to look pretty and wear nice clothes. It's but natural. Everyone dresses up a little more than normal right after marriage.

The should have mixed a shade of pink and red for the 25th October saari. Or the lip shade they used for her mehendi look. That was a nice colour.
And yes that's precisely what I'm saying. I completely agree. She looked radiant pre marriage (even more so pre leap) but now the clothes are okayish and the make up is going downhill.
She wants to wear a bindi. Fine. I won't go into religion (even though it does bother me but won't get into it) but does she have to wear it all the time? She can wear her nose ring on some days. And then she can wear her bindi. She never changed her looks when she was married to yash. Why now? True love has nothing to do with it. Aditya didn't change his style. Why must zoya?
