Zoya's Makeup

There have been topics about harshad's look and I agree they need to bring back the "captain hooda" look but my topic concerns zoya (Jennifer Winget) It might be just me but zoya's makeup is just so...dull. I remember how stunning Jennifer Winget looked in the first few episodes. Particularly the first episode and the episode in which she meets aditya at the airport. The one in which he is unable to fly the plane and she decides to stay back and save zosh events. The make up was excellent. The lip colour was nice and overall it gave a her vibrant look. Very natural and yet it made her glow. She's absolutely beautiful but dull makeup can make even beauties look dull. The make up with the blue saari was okay but other than that, its pretty much horrible. Either the lipstick shades are too dark or so nude that it looks like she's not wearing any.
She just got married. Why can't the makeup artist give her more vibrant shades of pink? Even in Bela's mehndi and haldi ceremonies, her makeup was fresh. It made her look younger and more delicate. The current make up (in fact ever since the leap) makes her look tired and a little older. There's nothing wrong with looking a little maturer but the makeup makeup makes her look older AND dull.
The nude look does not go with every single outfit. Do they have like one lipstick shade? This weird nudish pink. Or that horrible red they gave her when she won the award and for KC. Perhaps that red would have looked nice if they had complimented it with the rest of the makeup. But it was red lips and the rest was very dull. Not even a bit of blush

I actually prefer the post-AdiYa wedding look/makeup of hers. The dullness which you say is mainly due to her blonde highlights. She needs to get back to her black hair pronto!

Okay so I just found out about the whole twitter war from the other thread and just to clarify, I had absolutely no idea about this war. My intention was never to demean Jennifer in anyway. I'm a huge fan of her acting. And she's absolutely stunning. I was disappointed with her makeup artist for not realizing what a beauty Jennifer is and making her look so dull. It's not jennifer, its the makeup

Yes post marriage she sorta looks dull. They try to make her wear matching bindis like a light peach or pale pink which simply doesn't show off. And I did notice her makeup is indeed looking dull in some places. She looked OK on tue when she first wore that blue saree but the next episode I felt she looked slightly dull in the same look. Her makeup was indeed good preleap. Nude lipsticks look good on her n she wore them preleap as well. It's just the overall makeup which is bringing down her look. Hopefully they give her a good look. Coming to DD, I heard she has a good makeup artist from her geet days and her makeup has been good be it in Geet, MB or even Silsila. It was this dewy no makeup makeup look that actually gives her that glowing look. Jenny's makeup too was good before.

I won't comment on makeup but overall I actually like her post marriage look. the only thing I miss is the hair colour. I think the one which she had before the leap looked better.

I like her makeup because it just looks so natural. Her face doesn't look caked up and it gives her a simple yet very very beautiful look. However, I do think her best look was in the Airport episode when Adi gets suspended. The entire look was beautiful. Wonder why they never repeated that dress as she looked absolutely gorgeous in it. Also, I do think they can experiment a bit with her lip color. Most times she uses the nude one which looks good, but can get boring after a while, and I am just so glad her natural hair is growing, thereby getting rid of the complete blond look.

I think Its Jen's hair color that kinda washes her out.. I actually love her post wedding look.. More fitted sexy sarees rather than the maternity anarkaali's .. And she looked gorgeous in her KC look
