Giving too much attention to said something like this is stupid. There are a lot of people who keep criticising for every single thing of our country and keep praising other countries.

If someone of ur state keeps criticising ur state in a humiliating always indicating other state is better. There is a chance u might irritated and just ask to leave if they have so much problem.

Criticism isn't bad and is required for improvement and development but some people have that attitude.

It's important in what context he said.

Even if u find it wrong don't give it so much attention.
