Before the release and during it, i made topics on Sanju clarifying all his cases. No one had any proof. They still don't. They even showed his exact confession to the police, that was his real confession in 93. Those were the guns he took. There was no truck, no involvement with the blasts nor was he aware but people will believe what they want to believe in. All Bollywood was in touch with underworld, did movies for them even payed them ransom.

So of course Sanju was friendly with them like the rest. He liked guns and took them. We know he's not the sharpest tool out there so he didn't know where they're coming from.

Even if we say he knew, he still wouldn't do it because at the end of the day everyone wants to save their ass. Why would he help dawood when he knows tomorrow it can bite him in the ass + why would they trust a movie star

Also as you've said it was because of sunil dutt politics.

Movie is atbb, people went to watch it because of Sanjus story + Hirani + rk

Rk did an awesome job and looks like it'll be the hgoty

+ he'll get all the awards

other fandoms will of course criticize the movie, rk, Sanju, nothing new

I don't understand how Ranbir was playing a caricature of Dutt according to some people. I think people who say that must had already made up their mind before watching the movie, that he is Ranbir Kapoor, not Sanjay Dutt. Of course he is Ranbir and he can't replace the original, but he did come quite close. How exactly it was a caricature? Baba's most popular persona among the audience is of Munna Bhai, and Ranbir was nowhere acting like Munna Bhai in the first half of the movie, I.e. his drug addiction phase. Infact, the movie also showed the other side of Sanjay Dutt, and not of a macho man that is popular in the public. Now people will say that, aha, so he was playing himself and not Sanjay Dutt. Well, you can't have your cake and it too.

ranbir was n is always brilliant in every role he plays be it in barfi jawani dewanee ajab prem ki gazab kahani n in sunju he was excellent thats my opinion
