Mauli and Ishaan

I had other plans for Mauli but nothing is falling in place, I wanted these two scenarios

1 Mauli as a single mother - Mauli has been through a lot, I want to see her as a single mother who has no faith in men, not a man hater, mind you, merely someone who doesn't trust them because of her past. I wanted to see Mauli struggling between her work and Mishti, since she lost Kunal because she couldn't spend time with him. I wanted a little insecure Mauli, who's afraid of losing her child.

2 Kunal not being baby's father - In this thing I wanted Mauli to reveal that to get over Kunal, in momentarily lapse she slept with her friend. That friend has no idea about a baby, he likes Mauli but he's not thinking about settling down, Mauli tells him about pregnancy and they fall in love withe each other's presence in their life along with their daughter.


What we have is Ishaan, who's in love with Mauli, I don't understand chemistry but the part in me which adores Mauli loved the moment when Ishaan asked her to smile. She has been unhappy for so long, she has always been 2nd in people's lives, Its good to see someone who loves Mauli and cares about her happiness.

What I understand from last night's episode is that Ishaan has asked Mauli to marry him, Radhika made a comment about his choice being the best because he chose Mauli. Mishti accepts him as her father, as they say the way to a single mother's heart is her baby, so he wins there.

I didn't find Mauli reluctant, Mauli's state reminds me of Kashaf's state from zindagi Gulzar hai (Don't throw chappals please, I know the show was iconic but the phone conversation reminded me of it), Kashaf didn't like or say trusted men because of her father, when Zaroon flirted with her, she did not want him to see that she has feelings for him, afraid that he'll hurt her if she gives up, Mauli is in somewhat similar situation right now. Not comparing two shows or characters, just comparing the phone conversation scene in both shows.

Last night was just an introduction episode, let's see how the story unfolds.. Right now I am liking new Zizu better than old Zizu

I want Ishaan's back story, there is reason why he spends so much time with Mauli's family, he can have a family like Irfan Khan's family in Piku, Dida and his mom cribbing would be the required comic relief in the show. They can't show Ishaan Mauli relationship gradually because the show is likely to end soon and they do not really have time.

Most important aspect of the story is the cliffhanger in Kunal's life, where he doesn't know about his daughter

1 They don't have time, the show is likely to end within weeks, 3 shows are lined up, they can't drag the show like this

2 Ishaan is a supporting character, parallel lead at best. Shakti is the lead, they can't develop Mauli - Ishaan relationship because this will affect Shakti's character

3 The important point is Kunal meeting his baby girl and they want girls to play the catalyst between Mauli and Kunal. New born baby can't do it or she can't be controlled in a way a 6 years old can be in a story.

4 6 months leap = Mauli delivering the baby girl because she's 3 months along, Nandini is yet to conceive and DD quit the show, they can't show Mauli giving birth to a baby girls and Nandini dying at same time.

So I think this plot makes sense and for someone like me who wanted Mauli's journey, it's something. It was this or Mauli blessing KuNan

I said I wanted Mauli's journey and I am getting it. Mauli is a strong woman who raised a beautiful daughter, they can't show the process of Mauli coping up with parenthood because the episodes are limited, although I hope they show FB scenes of Mauli's parenthood but clearly the story is not about that, separation point was Kunal not knowing about his child and Kunal is male lead, I am just happy that Mauli won't die or accept KuNan's lub
