They said it was because SOTY2 has to be her debut film and the AR remake would come out before SOTY2.

Which is weird because Anaya is in Gully Boy and she had no clause like Tara does.

is ananya in gullyboy? i dont know if thats been confirmed, but even if she is in gullyboy i dont think she has a big part to play, whereas in arjun reddy tara wud play the female lead

Ananya's role in Gully boy is a cameo and it has already been shot. Tara had to drop out of Arjun Reddy remake because SOTY 2 release date got delayed.
