There was an awkward silence in the room...where Dadimaa narrated her grandchildren's misdeeds and then apologized on their behalf...

Dadima:- I apologize for everything Mr. Khanna, only if I knew things before I wouldn't have let everything happen, that has happened...

Geet looked at her mother, hoping for a hug... least a look at her, and she did look at her with a smile...and Geet went in her arms...taking that as a cue...But, found her mother stiff, reasons Geet knew too well...and she parted to glance at her eyes, who looked away...

Well, Geet couldn't really blame her since she was always like this in front of her husband and others...Geet wiped her tears hiding them from all but Maan noticed and instantly felt bad for her ...His guilt again overpowering his sane behavior and he was abt to apologize again when Geet's father stopped him as he declared...

Sushant:- We are taking Geet with us...

Dadimaa(cut him before Geet could even look at her):- Sorry, I won't allow that...They just are trying to start their lives together and am with them on that...

Sushant:- What do you want to say by starting afresh with each other??? They can't...This marriage mean nothing to either of them...You just said it...(He was getting hyper but Dadimaa was calm)

Dadimaa:- Yes I did...But, now things are starting to change...They are willing to leave past and live in their present situation...

Sushant(mocked):- A compromised marriage???

Dadimaa(didn't like that mock and she raised her voice a little):- She anyways was going to have a compromised marriage with your selected groom...(Sushant glared at Geet hearing that as to why she has told their personal matters to them) Don't scare the child now...She already has suffered lot I just wanted you here to know and understand what your daughter has gone through...Be sympathetic towards her not angry...Since this is a reception party and ppl would Q abt her family...Maybe few might even know her as she was a Khanna so...I wanted you ...Her family to be beside her on this big day of her life...But, I think I was thinking wrong abt you ppl...You don't care for your daughter???

Sushant:- Huhh!! I refuse to be a part of this drama... (Saying so, he looked away and Geet had had enough)

Geet:- Yes...Drama... My life has become a drama...In fact since the beginning of my life, it always was a drama...You can leave I will manage everything like have been doing since birth...I don't need any of you...(Her eyes rested at her mother and Geet averted as soon as she looked at Geet) This is my life...My decision...and am not gonna regret ...Don't worry I won't ever come back to you even if I was left all alone someday...I would rather ask some stranger for help than you...My so called family...(She looked at Dadimaa) Dadimaa, I don't want to stay here anymore...

Dadimaa(nodded at her and requested again):- Plz, be on her side for once at least...I would appreciate if you stay for the party...

With that she took Geet's hand in hers and both-the ladies started to walk away leaving Khanna's on their own...With Amar's insistence all stayed back and decided to attend the party...Be on Geet's side...Sushant, who wasn't expecting anything from Geet, was mum hearing what she had said ...and for the first time he was trying to see her perspective...

Maan was passing by corridor when he heard Geet's sobs...He went to see what was the matter and there he saw his Dadi was trying to console her...He felt bad...

Dadi:- Geet, don't cry beta...

Geet:- I will be fine...Just give me two mints...(she told her as she tried to clear her misty eyes, while Dadi just pated her head)

Maan sighed and left from there...He couldn't understand why she was so much adamant on not going with her parents when they all knew everything that she never was at fault...Was that merely for Revenge or there was something else...He needed to find that out but how...She never was going to open her mouth on that and there wasn't any other way for getting his answers...

AT PARTY,

Dadimaa introduced Maaneet to her friends and other respected guests...Ppl also congratulated Khanna's for the alliance and complained as well...Arjun, though was present in the party but he tried his best to avoid Geet's family ...Whereas Annie was envying the love Geet was getting not only from guests but also from her own grandmother...Her hatred for Geet grew even more seeing this...Amar noticed Geet and Maan, as they were faking smiles and exchanging pleasantries to the guests...He needed to talk to Geet alone and convince her for coming back to home...He couldn't have left his sister at the hands of her Abductor any more... Earlier he was forced but now he was going to stand for his sister...She has suffered lot at the hands of destiny now was the time to mend his mistakes and be of some help to his sister...

Dadimaa:- Maan beta take Geet to dance floor...Everybody plz enjoy the party...

With that announcement she urged Geet through her smiling face while her eyes remained at Maan...He sighed and with a fake smile he asked for Geet's hand...She looked at the raised hand in air and unwillingly gave herself to the man who was sole reason of all of her miseries... The music started and Maan took Geet away to the floor... Maaneet look at each other as guest singers sang song for the couple...

(Maan looked at her sad face ,empty teary eyes and his heart went uneven seeing her condition)

(Geet glanced at her family and Dadima, who was genuinely happily looking at them both)

Bara mushkil hota hai

(Maan swirled and took Geet off her feet as she gasped with the fast pace...But soon got used to that and managed her step with him then, nevertheless she warned him)

Geet:- Slow it down...

Humne raaz ye jaana

Maan:- Can't ...It's a fast paced song... (She gave him an anger filled glare but didn't say anything that went not so right on him)

Mohabbat mein koi aashiq
kyon ban jata hai deewaana

(Maan pushed her far and then pulled her back in his arms while Geet got a chance to glance at his eyes and she found herself lost in them...He was trying to get her mind outta her family and he was getting success in that...so he tried)

tasavvur ke haseen lamhe
tera ehsaas karte hain
tera jab zikr aata hai
to milne ko taRapte hain

Maan:- You could have gone back...But, ahh!! Your Revenge...

Geet(looked at him as she felt his sympathetic eyes staring her, the last thing she wanted from her Abductor, so she covered up and gave him a smile):- You seem to be worried genuinely for me???

Hamaara haal na poochho
ki duniya bhool baithe hain
chale aao tumhare bin
na marte hain na jeete hain

Maan:- Why are you doing this???This marriage doesn't mean anything to any of us...Why are you giving Dadi false hopes???

(Geet was finding that hard to look away from his captivating eyes, yet her own behavior was confusing her)

Geet:- Huhh!! I am giving her false hopes??? (She shook her head and pointed at him)Its you...I do feel bad at times, seeing her paying for her grandchildren's deeds...

Geet:- You know, I had some hope that one day, maybe...just maybe you would realize the depth of your misdeeds...and would feel remorseful...guilty...and would apologize to me...and I might have forgiven and forgotten everything...moving on in my life...

Geet:-But...look at you...you are true to your name...Maan...Ego...you are full of ego...you don't even acknowledge that and that elderly lady is suffering...bearing the burden of you and your egoistic sister's sins...

Maan:- I don't show that, doesn't mean..am not guil......(He trailed)

(Maan didn't reply to her quizzing eyes for mints and just danced on the tunes...She felt the harshness in his touch...probably her talks have angered him... well, served him right...Someone needed to show him and his sister a mirror and she was going to do so...She was not letting him pity over her seeing her sad but she knew how to come back in a situation like this...This romantic song didn't do any good for them)

na samjho ajnabee sadiyon se
hum to bas tumhaare hain.

Maan(looked down and talked when he was calmed a bit):- Look whatever happened in that cottage that day was wrong...But, you can't put whole blame on me for that...

Geet(was enraged hearing him):- I responded to your, started act doesn't mean I was willingly into that...It was my first and I didn't know what was happening...I... probably got carried away in wake of my weak moments but you...you took full advantage of that... This is not the only wrong think you have done to me...

Dadimaa looked on as she knew there was something going on between them...She wanted to go there and sort their matter out, telling them they can fight later ...But, she decided otherwise as they needed to know they can't start arguing at any giving time without realizing where they are...So she sighed and waited for them to wake up from their fight sleep...

Geet was expecting an answer, a come back...but, seeing him silent angered her more...

Geet:- You would never understand how much I have suffered...

Saying so she was abt to get outta his arms when he tightened them at her waist and she glared him, ready to burst when he reminded her...

Maan:- It wouldn't look good if you leave this floor in the mid of a song...

(She looked around and controlled her anger...and after a mint she heard him)

Maan:- And you too... wouldn't ever understand my take on this matter...

(With that said, he released her, the hall broke into claps and Maan just passed a smile to his guests...Took an astonishing Geet by her hand and he left her when Dadi approached them)

Hey all...

I know my readers expect more from me like 2 updates a week or long parts ... When I post a part it is at least 1500 plus update... and if you find it small, what can I say... and for twice a week updates...Am so sorry fellows, but only I know how am managing this weekly or 10 day update... Just finished with one project and now am awarded with two more projects from my department and I can't deny them...So I need to work on them before their deadlines come alongside am required to take classes then my family...and finally comes FF world... So, this is how IF goes in the priority list...I love entertaining you ppl and that is why am still here stuck with FFs even after getting so much disappointed when my works were plagiarized...I think of you ppl, the readers who are with me from the beginning of my writing in here to the ones who are new to the ppl who only ask for an update every now and then...I love and respect all of you...All I need from my readers is your support ...your understanding and cooperation with me...I WILL UPDATE WHENEVER I HAVE A PART WRITTEN, READY TO BE POSTED, WITHOUT DELAY...THANK YOU...😊
