Reallyš...I don't think so..If Alexander was so able then why couldn't he convince his army to march further and confront the Nanda/Magadha Empire. Let's face it...there is a saying "you can't win them all" .If you would like I can provide a relevant instance from world history to justify it.As it is King Puru's determination had shattered the morale and spirit of the greek forces.š
What I mean is that Alexander fought for glory. not martyrdom. His army was often outnumbered but he used great strategies to win, not just military strength. He would not walk into something that would be considered a suicide mission. He would go in with a strategy of sorts and some kind of solid plan. When he took on a challenge he would try to make it work but he did not typically call for the needless loss of lives of his men.At the same time, he was also good to his men who went to the ends of the world with him. When they did not want to fight further, he stopped his conquests too. But if he had continued on to further conquests, I'd like to think he would have looked for winning strategies. I guess we'll never know.
Can someone explain why the caste system was amongst kings? I thought Dhanad was the most powerful of them all as he had the bigger army so why hate him
And neither did Porus cross the Jhelum river to attack Alexander's army. š
