At Lata's and Asha's time, there was no real competition among female singers in Bollywood.

I love these old Filmfare award clips..

It got even more competitive later on.. specially around late 90s.

The sorry state of affairs.. I can't even name two female singers from now days.. with the exception of Sherya Ghoshal and sinidi chohan!!!l smh

Not their fault.. the Indian music now days sound more like pan and pots!!'
