Raman was looking at ishita and all when Mr batra said -what u r thinking, Raman??
Raman look at mr batra and said -how can I go leaving them all. They will be so alone without me. Aur sona, woh toh kitni choti hai, how she will live without me.
Mr batra-i understand ur concern puttar, but if u don't go this time may be u don't get another opportunity. Mihir, Neil, romi aur ishita, yeh sab abhi chote hai, they will get many chances to go. But u r growing, u may not get another chance. Shayad agli baar tumhe koi choose naa kare ,aur agar baad mein sab chale gaye toh u will be left alone again. I don't want that, puttar. Issliye keh raha hoon, tu chale naa. Baaki sab bhi chale jayenge jahan unki kismat le jayegi. He said making Raman think.
Mr batra -baaki tera faisla, I will agree with ur every decision. Yeh tera ghar hai aur hamesha rahega. He said kissing his temple and went inside.
Trio came running to Raman and said -bhai, Aap jaa rahe ho. Mat jao naa, hum kabhi aapko tang nahi karenge, promise. Time par homework karenge, ishu ko bhi pareshaan nahi karenge. Think about ishu, how she will live without u. Usse toh aapke bina jeene ki aadat hi nahi hai. Woh toh jabse yahan aayi hai, bas aapki godh mein rahi hai, Aap kaise jaa sakte ho usse chod kar. They were saying while Raman was lost in Mr batra's words. The desire of having a loving family, a caring parent was still there in his heart but he can't also leave ishita and all. He was not able to decide what to do and what not to.
They were talking when ishita got up with a jerk and start crying bitterly. Raman hugged ishita and start rocking her trying to pacify her but she continued crying taking his name, like she sensed that he is going away.
Mihir -i think ishu ko bhi pata chal gaya ki bhai jaane wale hai, issliye ro rahi hai.
Neil -ab aap nahi jaoge naa hume chod kar, ishu bhi aapke bina nahi reh sakti aur hum bhi.
Romi -please bhai, don't go naa. He was saying while Raman was trying to pacify ishita and she finally slept after long.
Raman kissed her forehead and said -i will not go, haan main jaana chahta tha, but I can't go leaving u all specially my sona. Kal kya hoga pata nahi,shayad tum sab chale jao Ek ek karke but main sabse pehle nahi jaaunga. I will wait for all of u to go. I will stay with u all till the time I can, Main apni sona ki akela nahi chod sakta. He said making all the boys happy. They hugged Raman tight and said -we will never go leaving u, bhai. Hum hamesha aapke saath rahenge. They said and they hugged each other tight. Little ishita was also in between them.
Raman made ishita sleep comfortably on her bed and went to Mr batra. Raman told him, his decision. Mr batra tried to make him understand but he was firm in his decision, so Mr batra said -tum jaisa chahoge waisa hoga. Go and play with ur friends. He said and Raman went.
Mr batra called the couple to inform the same. They were having coffee and was talking.
Man -maan gaye tumhe, kya raasta nikala, this way we will get a boy, a help aur paise bhi nahi dene honge.
Lady -i know it's a brilliant idea. Hume Ek caretaker chahiye tha apne bete ka liye, joh iski dekhbhaal kare aur ghar ke chote mote kaam bhi. I saw how he was taking care of that little girl,so I decided to adopt him only. Usse lagega ki woh hamara beta hai, but in real, he will be a caretaker to our son and a help for us. And iske hume paise bhi nahi dene honge. Aur woh bhagegi bhi nahi.
Man -but agar usse samajh mein aa gaya toh, tab hogi problem hui toh.
Lady -nothing like that will happen. Yeh anath bachche pyaar ke bhookhe hote hai, aur maa ki mamta sabse bada weapon hai unhe bewakoof banane ka. And ur wife is master in that. Woh mujhe maa samjhega aur main usse naukar.she said smiling shamelessly. Her husband too smiled and both look at their one year old son who was playing with toys .
Lady -kal se we will be relieved from taking care of him, that boy will take care of our baby and we can do our work without any worries. She was saying when Mr batra called them and informed that raman is not ready for the adoption making them shocked.
Lady -aise kaise ready nahi hai. Humne toh sab preparation kar li hai. Uske liye room bhi decorate karwa rahe hai, please don't say like this. Aap meri baat karwaiye usse, I will convince him. She said and Mr batra called raman. Raman asked the matter and went without talking to them. He don't want to give himself any chance to be selfish. He wanted to stay with ishita and that was final on his part. He went saying the same and Mr batra conveyed the same to the couple making them angry.
Lady -aise kaise nahi aayega, usse aana padega. He can't deny like this.
Mr batra -i tried to make him understand but woh sunne ko taiyaar nahi. He can't leave his friends specially his sona.
Lady -sona??
Mr batra -haam, the little girl who was in his arms.
Lady -arey bachche hi sambhalna hai toh yahan aake sambhale, waise bhi we r adopting him for that only, she said in a go and then realised what she said .
Mr batra -toh mera bachcha aapko aapka bachcha sambhalne ke liye chahiye tha, tabhi main soch raha tha why u picked raman in between all the kids. Coz u don't want a babu to love but a help. Mers bachcha naukar nahi hai, usse hamesha apne paas rakhunga but tum jaise ko nahi dunga. He said and hung the call in anger.
He closed his eyes thanking the almighty from stopping him to do such blunder.
Mr batra -thank u matarani, mere Raman ko bachane ke liye, warna main toh usse bhej hi deta unke paas.he said and then walked to the kids who were playing. Raman and boys were playing, ishita too was up and was playing with them. All boys have picked ishita in their arms and were rocked her making her giggle.
He smiled seeing them and said -main tum logon ko hamesha apne paas rakhunga, but wipl never send u to such people. He said and then got busy in his work.
Time start passing again and now ishita turned three, Raman eight and other boys seven. Raman started teaching ishita also to get her admitted in school while she was just not interested in studying .
One day, Raman was sitting with ishita trying to make her study while she was busy in playing.
Raman -sona, come to me. Likho A. He was saying while ishita was just not listening to him.
Raman -sona come, or else I will slap. He scolded her making ishita's eyes got filled. Tears start falling from her eyes and she said -lam dante, lam gande.
Raman nodded his head in disbelief as it's her daily drama for not studying.
Raman went to her and said -sona, aise rote nahi. Padhna chahiye naa.
Ishita nodded in no and said -padhna nahi, chilf khelna.
Raman -but studying in necessary naa, sona. He said wiping her big fat tears.
Ishita sat in his lap and said -mujhe nahi palna, khelna hai. Lam chaath.
Raman smiled and said -ok, we will study from tomorrow, aaj hum khelenge, OK. He said making ishita smile happily when romi said-yeh achcha hai, ishu ko nahi padhna toh bhai will play with her. Aur hume maar padti hai nahi padhne par. He said making the trio nod in affirmation.
Raman -she is small naa.
Mihir -toh hum kya bade ho kar shaktimaan ho gaye hai. Hum bhi toh chote hai naa.
Romi -haan bhai, sabke liye ek rule hona chahiye. Sab saath padenge aur saath khelenge .he said to which Neil too supported them.
Raman thought for a while and then said -sona, we will play after they finish their study. Tab tak tum bhi yahin raho. U don't wanna study then sit and listen.
Ishita nodded and sat beside Raman.
Raman was teaching mihir -happy, happy Matlab khush hona. Jaise kisi ko dekh kar khushi ho, toh we say, I am happy to see u. Like, I am happy to see my sona,naa sona. He said looking at ishita when ishita smiled and said -happy, happy Matlab khuch. Khuch matlab laman,happy matlab laman. Laman matlab happy.aaj se laman naam happy. She said clapping happily making all boys look at her.
