I don't know about Star but Colors definitely has a thing for EMA. Can't say that Star respects women as all the leads like Shivaay, Arnav and Uma Shankar deserved to be behind the bars.
But Colors just loves whitewashing EMAs. I was a fan of Bepannaah but stopped watching after Zoya termed Poosh as Paak and held Aditya responsible. That's like Mauli's mother! Then DSDT i watched initial few episodes as i loved the old Parth and Shorvari but that went downhill so fast. Only consolation that the actor i liked quit the show. And now this. I have stopped watching this too as they are portraying as if Nandini gave up on her love for Mauli.
