Khan was born in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. She belongs to a family of 4 - her parents, herself and her younger brother Aamir Khan, who is the owner of a travel agency company.[9] She completed her Master of Business Administration(MBA) in 2009 at the CCA School of Management, Gurgaon, Delhi.
Khan is dating her former Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Supervisor producer Rocky Jaiswal since 2014.[2] She confirmed on Bigg Boss 11 that she suffers from asthma.[11][12]
Khan made her television debut in 2009, when she starred on Indian soap opera Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as Akshara.[13] After 8 long years, she decided to quit the show in 2016 to pursue other projects.[14]
In 2017, she joined Colors TVs Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 8 as a contestant where she finished up as the 1st runner up.[15]
On 30 September, she entered the Bigg Boss 11house as a celebrity contestant.[16] She became the first runner up of the show.[17] Khan earned the title of Sher Khan in Bigg Boss 11.[18][19][20][21] In November 2017, she was named the most loved contestant on Bigg Boss 11 house by Ormax Media.[22] On 25 December, she was named one of the Top 30 TV Personality of 2017 by Sabras Radio.[23] She was also named the Most Favorite Actress of 2017 by Biz Asia.[24] Including winning the Pinkvilla's award for the Most Stylish TV Actress of 2017.[25] She was known for her controversial fights with Shilpa Shinde.
In late February 2018, she wrapped up the shooting of a Punjabi music video with Sonu Thukral which is set to release in March 2018.[26]On 31 March, it was announced that she has signed on to make her digital debut with Ankoosh Bhatt's short film 'SmartPhone' opposite actor Kunaal Roy Kapur.[27] In July 2018, Hina appeared in a Sonu Thukral's Punjabi music video "Bhasoodi".[28]
She has also appeared as a guest in many serials. Her first guest appearance was in Kayamath in 2009. After that she appeared as a guest in Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai and Chand Chupa Badal Mein in 2010. In 2011 she appeared as a Guest in Chef Pankaj Ka Zayka a cooking show. In December 2016, Khan made an appearance on Bigg Boss 10as a panellist to support good friend Rohan Mehra.[29][30]
She was named in the Top 50 Sexiest Asian Women List by Eastern Eye in 2013,[31] 2014,[32]2015,[33] 2016,[34] and 2017.[35] In 2014, she was listed eight among the "35 Hottest Actresses In Indian Television" by MensXP.com, an Indian lifestyle website for men.[36] She was included in fourth place on "Television's Top 10 Actresses" list by Rediff.[37]
On 25 January 2018, she won the Most Stylish TV Personality Award at the Hindustan Times Style Awards.[38] On 2 Feb 2018, she debuted as a showstopper on Lakme Fashion Week for the Kolkata-based label Osaa by Adarsh.[39]
In the same year, she became the victim of troll for posting the image of her teddybear named 'Pooh' which she have lost it when saving her co-contastant Luv Tyagi during the task in Bigg Boss.[40][41] Again, she was trolled for her Dubai photos which she posted on Twitter, but this time, she also replied to trollers.[42] On 7 March 2018, a day before Women's Day, Hina also received a "Power Woman" award at Power Women Fiesta Awards 2018.[43] In March 2018, she appeared on the magazine cover of Fitlook magazine for March issue.[44]
On 2 April, she walked the ramp for Streax Professional in Mumbai for marigold collection.[45]On 21 April, Hina Was awarded "Dada Saheb Phalke Excellence Award" for the Best Entertainer in Reality Show Bigg Boss.[46] On 20 May 2018 in Delhi, the Former Chief Minister of Delhi Smt. Penalties: If the DT sees more than 3 people breaking the AT rules constantly for a week, the effects of violations will kick start, which go as follows:
First Violation - Warning Note
2nd - Another Warning Note
3rd - Another Warning Note
4th - Close the AT for 24 hrs (1 Day)
5th - Close AT for 72 hrs (3 Days)
6th - Close AT for 1 week (7 Days)
7th - Get rid of AT completely from the SBRK Forum/Shift it to Celebrity Fan Club Forum!
The rules are applicable for multiple violation and not single post as it will be dealt individually! Having said that, please do not assume that every report submitted by opposite fan group will be entertained. We will go through the reports and only if we find the report valid based on above rules, then we will speak to the Admins of the AT and action will be taken accordingly as stated above.
This may sound strict and very harsh, but unfortunately we are forced to take these measures to maintain peace... So remember guys, if you see a friend breaking a rule in an AT, make sure you tell them to stop or else you can say goodbye to your AT for a certain period of time which the DT finds liable. So in easy steps: Don't break rules/bash and don't allow your friends to either!
