Horrific Friday For New Releases

There are multiple releases today and its simply a horrific Friday with collections at rock bottom levels. The main Hindi films released today were as follows and the morning occupancy are in brackets:
FryDay - (0-2%)
Helicopter Eela - (0-5%)
Jalebi - (0-2%)
Tummbad - (0-2%)
Then on top of this there were films like Maal Road Dilli and Play This which had no awareness and no collections. There were also two films from Hollywood A Star Is Born and First Man and they were as bad as the Hindi films. Andhudhun is sure to lead and collections will probably be higher than all these new films combined. The only bright spot was Telugu film Aravindha Sametha which opened well on its limited screenings in the metros and obviously its main area Nizam / Andhra will be strong.
The best opening of the Hindi films is Helicopter Eela but by a limited margin and any of the films could turn out to have the best first day. The two Hollywood films will be in the race also but the collections will be awful. Its not really surprising why would the audience watch a film called Helicopter Eala or Tummbad, the names are ridiculous for a Hindi film.
Looking at the credits of the films then Tummbad has the same people involved with a disaster of a film called Ship Of Thesues. That disaster had a ridiculous name also as its unlikely a film in US or UK can have such a name and that film was for India. That disaster was supported by the media and maybe it will be same for Tummbad as its the same makers.
