I dont know why do you people try to show Brahmans as the villains everywhere (I am not a Brahman P.S. but what exactly did they do back then to be so notorious? And as I said if they were so powerful and stuck to their religion, they would have tried to stop the Mauryans from converting or at least propagating their religion, but there is no proof to show that any of these happen
When did I ever say that DN was a great king?! Even Class 5 history books mention how cruel and oppressive he was and how he imposed heavy taxes and insulted Chanakya.I simply said that since it's CGM's story its natural that the villain would be DN irrespective of his caste.
@bold,what exactly do you mean by 'You People?' I am a Brahmin myself for starters. But isn't it common knowledge that the Brahmans and the upper castes tried to suppress the lower castes back then? And it existed way before the Nandas or the Mauryans.
Okay not all of them were notorious but a huge section of them certainly were.
All I was trying to explain to the @LuckySnow is that treat a show like a show and don't turn it into a caste debate. If the show is about one person then his nemesis will be the antagonist for its a TV show.
Alexander's villification went overboard and DN already had the elements of a villain so they made him more interesting.
