It's been solid 4 years since she shared her story and started her foundation? Quite commendable she is still on it. Whether she is genuine or not, only God knows. But if her efforts have benefitted people then I am glad. If there is only thing that I may find bearable about her, it is this. Hope more people come out and speak up for mental illness. World has so so so many issues, people discuss about cancer and heart diseases so openly. But mental illness is not widely recognised or discussed. Hope one day this will change and it won't be a topic meant to avoid. Hope everyone will openly share about it and help bring confidence to those fighting it.

I am not a DP fan and I don't think I ever will be one, but I can confirm that her efforts have benefitted people as I have seen it myself. I have a friend who was in the extreme throes of depression due to the occurrence of a tragedy in her life. She didn't realise it was depression but she knew things in her had changed. However, explaining all of it to her parents was really tough as they thought she would be fine in a few days. Even we, her friends didn't know how to help her, and that is when Deepika came out with her story and opened the LiveLoveLaugh website. I gathered information through it and made my friend call up the clinic which is headed by Deepika'a doctor - Shyam Bhatt. My friend visited it in Bangalore and has now been undergoing therapy for some time and the change in her is tremendous. Of course she is still not completely fine, but I can see that she is slowly getting there. I have no one to thank but Deepika for it as it spread so much awareness about a problem that everyone likes to brush under the carpet. What she did was so so brave and applause worthy!

wow! Amazing. Thanks for sharing! I love that people are sharing positive vibes on this post (finally). Took days for this topic to get any attention from this forum!

If it was a Ranbir or abuse Deepika post I'm sure there would be pages of hate comments by now.

proud of her speaking about it, its so important to encourage people to recognise and get help for thier depression and so important to remove the stigma connected to it
