Innocence is not to be diminished or removed in these situations. Innocence is the essence of purity within us that believes in the good in people. Unfortunately, there are bad people out there that try to steer us into a cold, hard, dark place, but you mustn't let them. You must preserve your innocence while protecting yourself at the same time.
