The mom cares more about her daughter in law than the son at this point. The mom doesn't even properly look at her son the same way anymore, and you can see the awkwardness between them.

She's pretty much helpless rn due to Dida's health and stubborness. I have a bit of hope she'll support Mauli in that..

Exactly hope to see that her words make some impression on dida's mind and she stops her tactics that only hurt Mauli at the end..
